Texas 600 Club By: Nelda Beard We have had another successful year with our country store and auctions. I do not have a breakdown on how much each made but our totals were $3200 for BVL and $400 for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness. Thanks to those that donated items for these charities and also thanks to those that bought. Thank you, Austin, for hosting our meeting/breakfast. We will see you in San Antonio next year. We would like to extend our thanks to the nominating committee. You did a great job. Our thanks go to Joyce Hogan, San Antonio, Dorothy Johnson, Tyler, and chairman, Beverly Goodwin, Houston. Our congratulations to those elected at the meeting. Ellen Goss, Dallas WBA, was elected as 1st Vice President. Nelda Beard, Mineola WBA, was elected as Sergeant-At-Arms. Honey Brown, Tyler WBA; Becky Jones, Lubbock WBA; and Stephanie Kraly, Abilene WBA were elected as directors. Don’t forget to enter the Mail-O-Graphic tournament. The tournament dates are October 9 - October 22, 2005. Deadline to enter is October 5, 2005. Entry fee is $8.00. Handicap is 90% of 225 and there are 4 divisions in the tournament. Super Senior Division – age 70 & over, Senior Division – age 55-69, Division A – 175 average and over, Division B – 174 average and under. If you do not have an entry form, you may contact Hicy Leonard or any board member. Hicy does a great job as tournament manager. Tournament forms are out now for entering.
